A Modern Teahouse

An unused floor of a tea trading company was to be converted into a teahouse to showcase modern ways to drink traditional Chinese tea. The design was meant to serve as a backdrop, allowing the space to be used in various ways including talks, presentations or as an art gallery. The clients had a lovely selection of vintage furnishings as well as various large timber pieces which were proposed to be included in the teahouse design, creating a blend of textures and shapes to the overall space. Larger existing pieces were repurposed and utilised such as the island & chandilier. A series of different lounge seating types were made to allow for different tea drinking experience.
